Santa’s Ride Through Town

The North Fairhaven Improvement Association has once again made arrangements for Santa and Mrs. Claus to ride all around town in an antique fire truck. The route will include stops at St. Mary’s Church, East Fairhaven School, Wood School, and Fort Phoenix.

The Clauses will leave Oxford School at 1:oo p.m. and travel east on Howland Road, north on Alden Road to the Acushnet line, then south on Main to stop at St. Mary’s Church. They will then travel to East Fairhaven by way of Bridge Street and head south on New Boston Road to Wood school. After a stop there, the fire truck will head east on Route 6 to Gillette Road and then via Hill Street through Hamlet Homes. Then they will head back west on Route 6 to Sconticut Neck Road for a stop at Wood School at about 2:00. Next it will be a trip all the way down the Neck to West Island and back before heading to the Center via Washington Street. At Green Street they will head to Fort Phoenix for a stop. After that, the route is north on Fort Street and through the center via South, Main, Center, Pleasant, Washington, and finally north on Adams Street to get back to Oxford School at about 3:10 p.m.
