Explore the historical center of Fairhaven on this 90-minute walk guided by Fairhaven Tourism Director Christopher Richard. Learn about the neighborhood that developed between the 1760s and the 1840s. Hear stories about the people, businesses, churches, and other buildings making up the community during its early years. See where Herman Melville sailed from in 1841 and where President FDR frequently visited the Delano family homestead.
This walk is different from the regularly scheduled Henry H. Rogers tours given in the summer and fall.
