Fort Phoenix Minuteman Tour

Tour begins at fort flagpole.
A Revolutionary War period militiaman in period clothing guides this one-hour tour about historical Fort Phoenix, which guarded the Fairhaven-New Bedford harbor from 1777 to 1876, through three wars. Tour includes a flintlock rifle firing demonstration and a demonstration of 18th-century dental and medical practices. This tour is appropriate for class field trips for grades 3 and up. Starting in 2016, a new Pirates & Privateers Presentation is also available.
