Remembrance comments at 3:00 p.m.
In order to afford the opportunity for the observation of the recent passing of Dr. Shigeaki Hinohara at the age of 105, the Whitfield-Manjiro Friendship Society will host a Memorial Open House. Dr. Hinohara was instrumental in raising funds in Japan to purchase and restore the Whitfield-Manjiro Friendship House, which was donated to the Town of Fairhaven. The house will be open to the public free of charge during the afternoon, with remembrance comments made at 3:00 p.m.
