Cherry Blossom Friendship Festival

This traditional festival celebrates cherry blossoms and our friendship with Japan. Free outdoor activities include names written in Japanese, origami (paper folding) instructions and demo, Japanese taiko drumming and martial arts demonstration, raffle, Japanese & American craft vendors, and kamishibai (paper theater – Manjiro story).
In addition to the events in the park, tickets are sold for a package that includes Fairhaven Colonial Club house tour, tea, dessert, ikebana flower display, and Whitfield-Manjiro Friendship House museum tour, bonsai display, kimono, quilt & documents display and a Bento picnic box lunch (no raw items). Bring a picnic blanket to enjoy your lunch in the park. Tickets (limited number) are $20 for adult, $10 for child under 12.
